Eugene Oregon Mold Inspection | Eugene Oregon Mold Testing

If you are detecting odd conditions in the indoor environment of your home or business in the wonderful area of Eugene, Oregon, you may have a problem with mold. Unless you have dealt with problems like this before, chances are that you are not sure where to turn or what to do next. That’s where MI&T Portland comes in! The inspectors at Mold Inspection and Testing Eugene, Oregon are here to assist home and business owners just like yourself who are nervous mold may be seriously impacting their indoor air quality.

Elevated mold for an indoor environment is not something that should be taken without caution. Recent studies show that inhaling the spores that are released into the air by this fungus on a consistent basis can have serious health effects; this is specifically true for the young and elderly, as well as those with pre-existing conditions. Unfortunately, companies that handle the removal of these types of problems often take advantage of people’s fears in order to get more work. Other than giving you the steps to remedy a problem, we are not affiliated with any part of the restoration process. For this reason, you can be certain that the results you get from us are in fact the truth.

Professional Background:

I hold a bachelor’s degree in environmental science from the University of Oregon, where I wrote my thesis on the potential health hazards of PVC building materials. My post-graduate studies added coursework in organic chemistry, city planning and logistics, and civil engineering. Early in my career I worked overseas on projects focused on workplace health and process plant efficiency, then returned to Portland to work in the green building field for several years before moving into the environmental testing of radon in homes and designing mitigation systems for five years. I later spent some time in real estate sales, but found that I much preferred protecting the health, safety, and durability of homes to selling them — and I have been with MI&T since 2025.

Major Metro Area:

I was born and raised in Portland and, though I lived elsewhere for about ten years, I always thought of this area as home. There are many things I love about living here, but for me nothing beats getting out on the trails in the Columbia River Gorge, the Cascades, the Coast Range, and Eastern Oregon.

Motivation:

I like helping people make sure their homes are safe for their families and will last for many years without damage from overlooked water intrusion and mold growth. Finding the root cause of a persistent issue so that it can be fully and finally resolved is very satisfying.

Success Story:

I consider every inspection a success story — whether it provides peace of mind by confirming that mold is not an issue or lays out a clear plan to address one and improve the home. One that stands out began as what looked like a minor spot on some storage containers in a child's room, easily blamed on a spilled juice box. Air testing and a closer look revealed a significant and potentially hazardous level of spores circulating through the home's ventilation system, which let the homeowners take prompt, targeted action to protect their family's air quality and prevent long-term damage to the building.

Value Proposition:

When choosing to have an inspection performed by me and MI&T Portland, a client works with a knowledgeable inspector who is dedicated to gathering as much data as possible and providing accurate information and analysis, backed by a committed and experienced team focused on a positive outcome to the problem at hand.
