Describe an inspection that you are particularly proud of: (Specifics on mold issue, Client relationship, What was rewarding about it)
Last month I had a customer who could not enter the house. Every room in the house had mold in it. I was able to find out where the mold originated and document how the mold got moved around the house. Finding the source and how it cross contaminated the rest of the rooms allowed me to write a comprehensive report that provided the steps for removal. The client was so happy that she could shop around and get estimates and begin the process of having her home clean again.
Why should a prospective client choose you to perform their mold inspection?:
Clients should choose MI&T in the Boston area because I do my inspection slowly and I try to get everything covered using my tools and my experience. I don't belittle the customer and I provide easy-to-understand information. I am reliable and very knowledgeable and always have their best interest in mind.
Mold Inspection & Testing Swampscott Massachusetts
For clients that do have elevated levels of mold in their property, we provide a full protocol for remediation. This includes a step-by-step process for how the remediation should be handled and who should be doing the work. Mold remediation is different than a standard remodeling job. When removing moldy materials, you are sending thousands of mold spores into the air. For this reason, problem areas should be contained and equipped with an airscrubber while work is being finished. After contaminated materials are removed, walls must be hepa vaccumed and treated with antimicrobial solutions and sealants. These are things that professional remediation companies have the capabilities of doing that a normal construction company would not. If this type of work is attempted by someone without the proper experience, there is a good chance they will only further the air quality issues within the home or business.
When dealing with these types of issues in your home or business, you want to make sure that you hire a company without a conflict of interest. Hiring a Swampscott, Massacusetts mold remediation company to finish an inspection is an example of what you don’t want to do. These companies often offer free inspections to get their foot in their door to pitch a larger, more pricey job. As we already mentioned, sometimes customers have tests that come back with no problem at all or one small enough to be handled on their own. A visual inspection could never tell you these types of details and some mold restoration companies would not forego the opportunity for work by letting you know your concerns are uncalled for.
