Professional Background:

NACHI Certified Mold Inspector
New York State Mold Assessor

I have lived in northern New Jersey my whole life. I generally stay in this area but I am also licensed New York mold assessor and do work there on some occasion as well.

I started doing mold inspections around 2015 after spending some time in the restoration field. For me, inspections are a great way to stay in the restoration industry that I love without being very difficult on my body as I have some back issues.

This area has some older and smaller homes. Indoor air quality is very important for people’s health and I have seen the problems mold can cause first hand. Being a mold inspector allows me to use my knowledge to help people. I also like mold testing takes the guess work out, it brings fact into what in many situations is opinions flying around.

As you may already know, all of these issues have the potential to cause health issues. Health complications from breathing in elevated levels of mold on a regular basis can be reminiscint to allergy problems. People living in New Jersey with these conditions can experience congestion, stuffiness, dry/itchy eyes, sneezing, coughing, runny nose, or other respiratory complications. Many times doctors recommend a patient get our service and we solve what was causing all of their problems. Just like with allergies, some people are more sensitive to elevated levels of mold than others. This means that someone might be experiencing issues while another person is not. Please do not write off the concerns of your family or co-workers if this is the case.

Acting swiftly is your best weapon in the fight against mold. The sooner that you address a potential problem, the less likely it will be to cause serious issues. Under the right circumstances, mold growth can be VERY fast growing. Think about how quickly mold can start to grow on food that is left out for a certain period of time. Now think about the damage that could do if it starts growing on walls, furniture, and other personal belongings. We are able to see behind walls and find problems before they show their face; that is why our service is so valuable.

Rather than going directly to a remediation company, choose an inspector to handle your initial assessment. Most of the time, spending a little more money in the beginning will save you from a much larger bill at the end. As we mentioned already, it is not uncommon that we prevent a mold removal professional from entering the equation all together. Our policies and the hard evidence we offer is why we have such a great reputation.

Attention Hurricane Sandy Victims: It has come to our attention that there are many residents of New Jersey that are avoiding doing proper water damage restoration. It is fantastic that there are volunteers or you are choosing to take on some of the work yourself. If your home or business has experienced water damage, removing the damage contents like wet drywall or carpet on your own is completely acceptable. However, avoiding the use of professional equipment like dehumidifiers, air movers, and fans is not. Unless you take these steps it is very likely that your home is holding moisture even though you may think it is dry. Since we are getting into the winter months, you probably won’t notice much if any problems start to arise and think you are in the clear. Once the weather starts to heat up, those who took the proper steps will be fine and those that chose to take shortcuts will most likely pay the price with lots of mold growth. Pay a little extra to get this done now or you will end up paying much more in the long when it becomes a serious problem. Call us today for an unbiased inspection and assessment of your property at 201-528-3998. We serve all of the following cities in the state of New Jersey and everything in between!
