Major Metro Served: How long have you lived here and what do you like most about living in this area.
I am a licensed home inspector. I have completed over 1,500 Mold Inspections within 5 years. What I enjoy most about Charleston is the southern hospitality.
What do you like most about being a mold inspector?:
What I love most about my career is being able to have conclusive evidence on a condition that may not be visual. It is difficult to locate a red flag area if they have no evidence of Mold. When I perform the walk through, I check all the areas and open up the cabinets. The source of the problem can occur behind the drywall not visual to the surface. It is always recommended to advise the Inspector of any strong smells or previous roof leaks.
Describe an inspection that you are particularly proud of: (Specifics on mold issue, Client relationship, What was rewarding about it)
I had an Inspection where the client was pregnant, she was experiencing health issues. I went on site and Inspected the property. We found high counts of Pen/Asp and the reports proved that the property was not acceptable. The lease was broken, and she was so happy to be informed of the mold strands she was breathing in at the property. The report helped her primary doctor to diagnose her health issue and she was able to relocate.
