What do you like most about being a mold inspector?:

; I enjoy helping people solve their indoor environmental and mold issues. I gain satisfaction with resolving these issues, knowing that I am helping people live healthier lives.

Describe an inspection that you are particularly proud of: (Specifics on mold issue, Client relationship, What was rewarding about it)

I had a client that had just moved into a home, he and his family started to become ill with symptoms of sneezing, coughing, and general overall fatigue (believe it or not, he had an exotic cat which was actually sneezing while I was there at the home for the inspection, this was one of the reasons he called us as well, he said his cat had been sneezing since they moved in). I did my inspection and found suspect areas in the basement where there was moisture in the crawlspace, and a musty smell. I recorded the moisture levels in my report and collected air samples throughout the home. After receiving the air sample results from the lab, it was determined that they had extremely high levels of Penicillium/Aspergillus molds spread through the air throughout the entire home from the basement. I made recommendations to the client to mitigate the issues, and within a few days time the home was healthy, and the client was extremely happy that all of their adverse symptoms subsided (including the cat)(true story). The client had me back to his home weeks later to retest the indoor space for reassurance, and we were all happy to find that the mold had not returned. I am happy to know that I was instrumental in helping them live a healthier lives by improving their indoor environment.

Why should a prospective client choose you to perform their mold inspection?:

I have performed over 600 inspections this past year with no complaints. I enjoy interacting with people, and work well with all my clients, always finding a resolved outcome in every situation. I have three decades of combined experience in construction, indoor environmental, water-damage mitigation, mold inspections, mold remediation.
